Privacy and data choices
Local processing and storage. Drawing and fixed readings run in your browser. Questions are not public pages or sitemap entries. Tarot saves sessions, local readings and notes in IndexedDB; original questions enter its journal only if you choose to save them. Small settings use localStorage. I Ching saves questions and readings in localStorage when you press Save. Private Tarot sessions do not use AI and are not automatically persisted; explicitly saving a reading or note stores it locally. There is no cloud sync. Clearing data or changing browsers can make records unrecoverable.
Optional AI. Only when offered and separately consented to, your question, fixed cards or hexagram and same-session follow-ups pass through this site’s backend to the owner’s AI host. They are not sent to analytics or published. Records expire after 7 idle days and no later than 30 days from creation; deletion runs at host startup or daily cleanup. Local deletion does not immediately delete remote records. Unverified AI languages remain disabled.
Necessary AI cookie. A signed anonymous cookie identifies the browser for 30 days and renews on use. It is not an account or advertising identifier. AI conversation is displayed on the page and excluded from local journals, exports and anonymous copies.
Optional analytics. Google Analytics starts only after consent. It counts public views and reading starts/completions with cookies and ordinary device/connection information. It receives no questions, notes, cards, hexagrams, deck order, reading text or session IDs. URL parameters are omitted. External referrers are reduced to the domain without paths or search terms. Tarot journal/resume pages are excluded; private sessions do not report reading events.
Use Analytics settings to reject or withdraw consent without losing the tool. Withdrawal stops later reporting and clears this site’s analytics cookies; it does not erase aggregate data already received by Google. This choice is separate from future advertising consent.
Advertising is not active. Manual spaces are reserved on public articles. AdSense verification and ads.txt alone do not load ads or set ad cookies. Site approval, dedicated units and applicable Google consent controls must be completed before activation. If activated, Google and partners may use cookies, beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to serve, measure and personalize ads, with applicable accept, reject and manage choices. When ads are enabled, a privacy-options link will let you reopen your advertising choices.
Hosting and control. Cloudflare may process request time, IP, browser and paths for hosting and safety. Questions and readings are not written to analytics events or application request logs; a consented AI request itself transmits the content described above. Search platforms measure public impressions and clicks, not your typed question. You can delete local records; Tarot also exports JSON. Anonymous copies omit your question, but review contextual details before sharing. This site does not publish for you.
New advertising, analytics or AI purposes require updated explanations and actual choice controls. Contact the owner’s public GitHub profile for issues without including private reading content.
