How the I Ching reading works

Write one concrete decision, the current situation and what you want to clarify. No birth date, name or login is needed. Fixed readings run on your device.

The three-coin method produces 6, 7, 8 or 9 for each line, six times from bottom to top. Lines 6 and 9 change; 7 and 8 stay stable. The browser uses secure randomness. Animation never redraws the fixed six lines.

The primary hexagram frames the present; changing lines show a point of change. Flipping their yin/yang produces the resulting hexagram. With no changing lines the two are identical; reality can still change. The chart retains traditional Najia and self/other positions.

The Chinese engine combines a library of 4,096 hexagram pairs with changing lines, topic and question rules. That structure does not prove accuracy. English, Spanish and Hindi use the same lines with translated themes from the original 64-hexagram library; they do not reproduce every Chinese narrative. Low-confidence questions receive clarification, not an event judgment.

Optional AI uses the same fixed hexagram and is clearly identified, with separate consent. Unverified languages are unavailable. Fixed local reflections make no AI calls.

Choose a verifiable fact, practical action and review time. A hexagram cannot reveal private thoughts, guarantee events or replace qualified professional advice.
